Born to Learn

Updated: Dec 24, 2025

Our parents are our teachers

They replace grades with chores

Poor lessons become lesions

Bad subjects become sores

Find many reasons to fault them

A good student never said

The wisest of teachings

Start by making the bed

Their classroom is the home, but they say the home is by the heart

Parents' greatest lesson is love

At least it is at the start

Kids get older

As they age, they demand big respect

This regard is granted by promises which are kept

Homework is turned in

Everyone is asleep by bedtime

The greatest promise of all

Keep the kids best version in mind

Here our loving teachers get put to the test

The question is your partner more important than life's stress

Break up the home

See the kid's heart snap quickly in two

You are the parent and the teacher

Not the only one in the room

Kids get even older

They dream of their own family and kids

Looking back, they will remember all the great things that you did

Presents wrapped in gold

Vacations which lasted for days

What kids remember most

Is the longing look of love on their favorite peoples face
